Brandon Jennings is first East Player of Week of the season
Brandon Jennings' big opening weekend was hard to ignore.
The Bucks point guard was named the Eastern Conference player of the week on Monday after leading his team to back-to-back victories over Boston and Cleveland.
It was the first such honor for Jennings since his rookie year, when he was honored after his 55-point game against Golden State.
Jennings helped the Bucks get off to a great start on Friday with a 21-point, 13-assist, six-steal performance in a 99-88 victory over the Celtics.
The next night he again handed out 13 assists and sank a buzzer-beating three-pointer as the Bucks defeated the Cavaliers, 105-102, in Milwaukee's home opener.
Jennings leads the league in assists (13.0 average) and tops the conference in steals (4.0 average) after the first week of play.
