Default If the Lakers get Phil

Can we assume that this had been planned months ago, and that this losing streak of theirs was purely an excuse to fire Brown? It's the only thing about both the losing streak and immediate firing that makes sense.

Makes sense. The lakers were getting destroyed by teams worse than the warriors. Then comes the warrior game and you see a complete turnaround in effort and they win by 30 despite shooting 40%.

I don't think the players were outright tanking the game, but they were probably tired of Brown and his ridiculous "Princeton Offense" and weren't trying their hardest.

Then again, Kobe did play on a bad foot and Dwight did come back while not 100% instead of "January" as multiple sources had claimed, so who knows?

What I am 95% sure of (get it?) is this: the Lakers wouldn't have fired Mike Brown if they weren't confident that Phil was definitely on board.

Mamba out

Im positive that Kobe's asking for the Princeton offense was an attempt to further sabotage Brown.. From news reports it was Bryant who told Brown that they should use it, and as usual Mike pandered to his star. Then all the lakers had to do was play mediocre uninspired ball and Brown would be out without a problem.

Yeah I think they were probably tanking for Phil. They knew Phil would come back with a revamped roster.
