Why? ND had a very solid performance winning at Oklahoma. They've won blowouts and close games, would have had to have beaten 3 of the current Top 25 and have a higher computer ranking (today) than anyone but Alabama. When the new #s come out, they'll either be in a near dead heat or above the Crimson Tide.

So you either trust the system (ND wins), their records (ND wins), or drop them for some unknown third reason.

No love for the Irish, but I don't understand the rationale.

Because they pretty much lost to Pitt.

Great win for my aggies last night against Alabama. I was telling people all week we could be them.

Johnny Manziel should win the heisman this year. What a beast.

Man, I see the W column and the L column, but I can't find the PML column anywhere.

Given that theory, Florida PML to La-Laf yesterday, so wins against them are worth PMN (Pretty Much Nothing).

Don't see anything wrong with that.

Well, I'll tell you that I have very little faith in voters. Too many wishy washy rankings that make little to no sense, and it happens every year. I still remember Michigan being ranked while they were 3-2 and none of those 3 wins were even over a decent team. I remember Wisky being ranked ahead of NU despite NU having the better resume and a win over Wisky. Miss St. got all the way up near the top 10, but where are they now?

Quote:
Texas lost to West Virginia who lost to OKlahoma State who lost to Arizona who lost UCLA who lost to CAL who lost to USC who lost to Stanford who lost to Washington who lost to LSU.

There's why a 2 loss LSU team is ranked way higher than a 2 loss Texas team. These top SEC teams won't lose to the lower ranked SEC teams who on their turn lose to outside conference teams and/or unranked teams. Or else they wouldn't be in the top 15. That's how it works.

I wouldn't argue for Texas, but what about Oklahoma? Their losses are to 2 undefeated teams. Those SEC teams have all had close calls (outside of Alabama) against weak opponents. Florida just had a nailbiter against UL-Lafayette, a team that was demolished by OK. St. Though, you may just say that a win is a win and a loss is a loss. I'll throw in that it's hard to compare when they're not playing tough OOC opponents. Florida does have FSU and S. Caro has Clemson, but they haven't played and that's just 2 games. What else is there? Alabama over the #4 Big 10 team?

Well there are only 3 2-loss teams in front of Oklahoma which include LSU who beat 3 ranked teams including a #3, Texas A&M who just beat the consensus number 1 until this week and South Carolina who beat a #5 ranked Georgia (overrated)

Oregon, K State and ND all jump past Bama in the AP poll. Maybe they'll actually figure out a way not to screw this up this season.

ND should be ahead of K-State. Otherwise, we are basically saying the season and who you play does not matter, it matters what i think when i see the teams play. In which case Alabama should still be head of K State, because if they played, Alabama would punt them so far they'd become Montana State.

Somewhere along the line people decided ND is not as good as the otehr teams, so everything they do is going to be discounted. That's unfair.

I don't like ND at all but fair is fair. They've played the harder schedule and are still undefeated.

I'm a little confused by this Michigan game. Denard Robinson is playing almost evry snap so far, but not at quarterback. Are they just redoing the offense to showcase him for the NFL, or was it decided that this was the way to win?

He's hurt. He has nerve damage in his throwing elbow and he can't really play QB. He's playing other positions because it's senior day and they want him to play.

Lee Corso was in rare form on College Gameday this morning.

First, he told a 5 year old guest picker "Not so fast, Midget!"

Then, he nearly killed a Duck
