This is absolutely hilarious. Why do things like this happen to us Raptor fans? There is no way we can trade him now

I mean yeah on the bright side atleast we get to see Ed Davis who's looked really promising so far this year but cot damn!!! here's 10 mill sitting on our roster doing absolutely nothing.

You think he was helping his trade value the way he was playing?

Very good point. I read an article that said the proper time to trade the guy would've been either in Bosh's last year to get more talent in an effort to keep Bosh or the season Bosh left in a rebuilding effort. At this current stage, whether he plays or not we won't get a good value out of him. This is his 7th season, everyone knows what he's all about. A Bargnani trade at this point should and probably would just be a salary dump to hopefully get a draft pick or 2 and a vet.

Hopefully this injury can build up the "Mysterious Legend of Bargnani" again where he is seen as some singularity of talent that is just on the verge of busting out of his shell. There has to be some GM in the league that would buy into that again right?

Oh right, there is one. Bryan Colangelo.

I honestly think there's at least one idiot GM out there would would take a chance on him that would provide a half-reasonable return.

The only way he gets traded is when Colangelo gets fired, hired by another team and trades for Bargnani. Likely that team's best player

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of the BC/Bargs era.

Agreed.

This is the bigger issue than maybe the injury...

If he had been consistent and 21 points ++ a night - 4 rbs and some clutch shots perhaps (he made a couple last season in his promising season) he might have been an attractive target for:

1) a team with cap space looking for a low post man that can score...
2) a team with lots of low post scoring looking for a change of pace - spacing the floor big man....

Now he wasnt playing to his talented level seen last year... briefly... all the press like sport illustrated openly call him "disinterested"....etc. That has to play in any discussion to move him. The injury would have been... well we can still take a shot...look at his production....

I think Barges is with us through to next season trade deadline...assuming the GM is after the "closed door meeting" yesterday..

Is Ed Davis the man at PF full-time, or will he split time with Amir?

I think its likely he receive majority of the PF minutes while both Val and Bargnani are injured. However, I think once one of them comes back it will be closer to 50/50 between him and Amir.

Casey tends to go to Amir in the 4th instead of Ed due to experience.
