I got some Koss in ear pair for just around/under $50.

They're really nice, comparable to the JVC XX or whatever those are called (also in ear).

I feel as though I've lost a bit of sound in the right ear, but it's nothing that I notice that much. Doesn't leak much sound at all.

I'm thinking about grabbing an over the ear pair just because. I'm looking at a lot right now. The ath-ad700 get really good reviews and are only 100 on amazon at this very moment. However I'd never be able to use them in public and that's a bit of a downside.

Sennheiser HD 219

Just picked these up for $11 on amazon. If you have prime, well worth the buy They are refurbs... but I'm hoping they replaced everything

They are great in my opinion. Kinda like the BOSE ones that stay on the ear? They block most of the noise, which is a good thing living in the city. I can cross the street and still not be oblivious to everything around me. The sound is very good, but I am not a hardcore audiophile. If anything, the cord worries me because it's very skinny. I've already got it stuck on my shirt a couple of times. So I might pick up another few. $11 is cheap. If anyones wondering http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...on=refurbished

Can anyone recommend some great, yet inexpensive headphones? My in-ear beats (rip offs) just broke after working great for almost two years.

Thanks for the bump, reminded me to get new earphones and screen protector. Always forget to buy some

Planning on getting one of these.

And also, any recommendations for cheap iPhone 4s screen protectors? I got a really cheap one but it's awful.

I just got some of these in gold. Was looking for something I could use while in the gym, and these have been great so far. Occasionally slip out your ear depending what exercise you're doing, but the sound quality is great considering they're reasonably cheap.

Yeah, I just need it for school and when I run or play ball but slipping out is not a big deal for me.

Still loving my HFI-580s, but I'm considering upgrading my portable amp (Fiio E11, use one of their L9s when listening on my phone as well). Any recommendations, OTC?

There is upgrade from fiio to that,

apparently from reviews it can compare to desktop amps and $500 dollar portable amps.

Really regretting getting rid of my sound system. My first two sound systems (house and car) I gave away because I didn't want to move them (to another house/car.) Seemed like it was ok at the time... but such a stupid decision. Also stupid to look back at something that happened a long time ago and regret it.

I can't do over the ear headphones. They are impractical. I can't do true in ear headphones because they hurt after awhile.

The best headphone for comfort I've found is... Bose IE2. Something you can wear all of the time, which is what I want. Can exercise wearing it, whatever. I would prefer elite SQ but the SQ isn't bad by any stretch. It's good. It's just not DA BESS. But Pain is not da bess either. Nor is wearing clunky ass headphones while you exercise.

Eventually, I will get another sound system. My needs have changed. I don't think I need floor standing speakers with dual 12s. I want something that's clear... maybe some nice bookshelves. But still to get a nice system (from the ground up, I have nothing now) is gonna be expensive.

I have a Sennheiser HD600. I had gone through a long audio journey looking for headphones, and this might be the end. They have the natural vocals and good detail i want, and also provide good bass and soundstage.

And yes, i have an amp and dac... not running them out of an Ipod.
