Well this 3rd episode at the Inspector Spacetime convention was bad....really bad. Two episodes in a row away from Greendale, and both were lame. Wow....I think the show has lost it. Maybe Harmon's exit is more important than it would appear........
I think they're overdoing the Troy and Abed connection. Yeah they beat friends and are into oddball antics, but why not try to flesh out Troy and Britta's relationship more? At least get back to Greendale or something.
Executives and people involved in a show fail to understand why creative times are so rigid and specific in their requests. Its because creative things need labor and resilience to make sure that the final product is as perfect as possible.
NBC and the people working on Community were saying that Harmon was being too demanding and wanting things specifically the way he says... Well now we see why that is. Its because he works to have a show that is fluid in its storytelling and has authentic situations and characters. He knew that there needs to be more than zany pop culture references, stylized settings, and off the cuff remarks and jokes. Season 4 is proving that you need a showrunner who understands all the facets of entertainment and that you cant succeed with style if its not solidified by sufficient substance. Its like a bad parody of a parody.
Somewhat related news: NBC falls to fifth most watched network.
But it's okay! Keep canceling your shows that at least have a dedicated audience. Who needs 30 Rock, Community (with Harmon), and not giving any of your shows a chance to grow.
Also props for most likely killing Revolution like you did the Event.

/endrant.
Its Karma for cancelling Freaks and Geeks before the first season had even concluded.

I'm not interested in Troy and Britta's relationship. The only funny stuff that can come from it (which it has subtly so far) is that Troy doesn't understand sex stuff. I don't care to see the emotional attachment brought too much into the show. Greendale is good, but they are branching out, as evidenced by Abed's "I remember when this show was about community college," which I thought was a great meta-line.

Did NBC cancel 30 Rock? I thought the show ended because the people that worked on it were ready to move on and the end did not come from above.
Nope. Baldwin offered to cut his pay in half in exchange for seasons full season 7 and a season 8.
He did want to quit after season 5, but then loved working on 6 so much he didn't want to stop. But NBC said and that was that.
I'm so mad about NBC canceling 30 Rock. It was the quickest comedy on tv, had sight gags, physical stuff, and great dialogue... And it's not mockumentary, thank f*ck.
Apparently Tina Fey wants ANOTHER kid, so that would've messed up shooting again.

As for the Inspector Spacetime episode, I half paid attention because I was watching with a friend and talking. I'll watch it again, but I thought it was a tad better than the Halloween one.
She's supposed to start working on another comedy for them for either next fall, or spring (also on NBC). so if she's gonna work on the kid she has to work some magic. Especially with filming the Muppets sequel.

I heard she doesn't want to be on camera though, or do it multi-cam so she can get out after 8 hours instead of 16.
