i wanted him to stay, but for the $8 mill that he was supposed to get i thought was tooooo much money for him. Then Hornets paid him $12 mill, that totally not worth it for Peja, especially with his age and knee problem. Hes a one demensional player that cant play defense...totally not worth the $12 mill ... i'd rather the Pacers save that money and pick up Al Harrington or Bonzi Wells

The Hornets vastly overpaid for him.

But still, too bad for Indiana that he was just let go with nothing back for him/Artest

Yeah, the whole trade was a waste, you lost Artest, and lost Peja anyway

ua but if they can sign Harrington, that means they traded Artest for Peja, let Peja go for cap room and signed for Harrington, which is not a bad deal..and Peja in my opinion is washed up anywayz

Peja is washed up, I like the guy..but I'm glad we didnt try to keep him and give him a ridiculous deal like NO did...smart move to let him go, hes not worth that much.

Well, Peja took the most money. I can't really fault him for that. And really, we should not have expected loyalty out of a guy who had been here in Indy for a handful of months. I agree with many of those who said that overpaying him would have been a mistake. The Pacers already have enough bad contracts, they do not need to add another one.

Pejas 29 and Hornets gave him a 5 year $60 mill contract, thats wayyy too much...you dont want to be paying a 34 year old $12 million...hes going to turn out to be like Jalen Rose at the end of it..an over-paid, washed up, one demensional player
