No one denies that, every strong man, despot and tyrant in history has people he helps and causes he pushes for.
Its the nature of politics, he needs certain groups to have his back, and The African Union (or OAN or whatever it is called) was critical to him staying in power. So he needed to treat his fellow Africans well so they didn't allow Western powers to set up shop there and try and oust him, or use back-channel influence.
He was also very good to foreign business interests, Korean firms were big in Libya during his tenure and I have met a few Korean businessmen who think he is the shit.
Mugabe, Suharto, Marcos, Noreiga etc. all had pet causes and groups they favored.

Qaddafi was genuine supporter of black people though. Dude had a well documented case of "jungle fever" with a particular penchant for sub-Saharan women

ironic you say that, many of the Janjaweed militias top officials were actually ex-Libyan/Gaddafi/Islamic Legion mercenaries seeking to legitimize themselves as "Arabs" through service to the militia.
By serving the militia they would in turn be considered "Arab" and therefore afforded higher status in Sudanese society.
Sure he may have done a lot to help black people but he, above all else, also helped maintain the status quo in North Africa that held black people at the bottom of the social ladder, even black Arabs.

Exactly, and this is why it is smart he's not doing anything for just black America, but rather all of us Americans. Any educated person understands that if he does something to promote just his race using the presidency as that tool, then any future black, azn, mexican, indian, etc candidates will be that much more unlikely to be able to get elected. The seed of doubt will be in people's mind that they are not voting for a president, but rather for someone that will seek to advance their race.
