Saints/Falcons although we both used to suck and it hasn't been competitive since the Payton/Brees era since we're 12-3 against the Failclowns.

The NFC East teams have great rivalries and probably the best in the league.

Ind-NE used to be a great rivalry but it's irrelevant now since Manning is out.
SF-SEA is on track to be a great rivalry even if it's a new rivalry
NYJ-NE is a decent rivalry although it's extremely one sided
PIT-BAL is the "old school" type of rivalry
etc

Pit/Bal is overhyped. Every year, same ole cliched "We're gonna see some rough, physical, hard nosed football. These two teams do NOT like each other...blah, blah".

The games almost never turn out that way.

Plus, too many of the key pieces of the rivalry are now gone. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Hines Ward....

The best rivalry has been Ravens vs. Patriots over the last number of years, but probably not so much now with Ray & Ed gone.

Saints-Falcons have had excellent games the past few years and the fanbases absolutely loath each other.

90's 49ers/Cowboys was the greatest rivalry that has ever existed in all of sports.

Colts/Pats would be ranked second. (IMO)

I guess you could label those as short term rivalries.

kinda like the Sacramento Kings vs Dallas Mavericks - that was a great rivalry for several years, but no longer exists... probably won't ever exist again.

as far as "long term" rivalries.... not sure which one is the best/biggest.

Wouldn't Bears/Packers be up there?

These are the rivalries that I remember most although 9erz vs boyz was epic for its time.

Without a doubt the NFC East pick a team vs a team is easily the best and one of the longest lasting rivalries. Every team good or bad just always seems impactful.

I think next would be regional rivalries but they arent nationally influenced rivalries. AFC North, NFC North, AFC East.

I could see that. Too bad the rivalry doesn't get the same exposure as some of the others. The media dictates that anyway. The Skins and Giants can go head to head with sub-500 records in week 15 and it will still be labeled a marquee game.

Did I overlook Texans-Titans? There's some bad blood between those two teams. The only problem is that they never both seem to be good in the same year.
