Default Do yall think kobe will try to pull a jordan 45 back to 23?

I think he will, jordan sucked with 45 so went back to 23 hopefully kobe doesnt suck, it just goes to show kobe will try everything jordan does and did to become the best ever even if it means changing from 8 to 24 next season i like both 8 and 24 though kobe is still kobe which is the best!

Kobe is smarter than that he knows if he does that he will again be forced to hear he's a jordan wannabee. Kobe always looked at jordan like this I learned my game from watching you, magic and etc. But I can make your style better.
he is changing to 24 to show lebron and other Nba players pick number 23, because they want to be like Mike by getting number 24 he's saying he's one step ahead of mike.

why do you all insist on making Kobe to be some sort of arrogant bastard.

His high school number was 24 and wanted to change it to that to start fresh with phil but wasn't able to do that because he was supposed to inform the league a year ahead.

also keep in mind Jordan changed his number to 45 because that was his baseball number when he retired.

The reason jordan wore number 45 when he came back was because the #23 was allready retired. It had nothing to do with how he preformed. But I could see Kobe wanting his number 8 jersey retired aswell as his 24 jersey.

Exactly. Kobe stated in an interview that he wants another fresh start, just like when he came to Philadelphia for the first time from Italy.

Also, stop comparing Kobe to MJ. One, Kobe doesn't want to be compared to him. He wants to be remembered for his own marks on the game. And two, there will never be another Michael Jordan. He is the greatest player to ever play the game and there will never be another player like him. His impact on the game was amazing and he made Basketball what it is today.
