Just watched it the other day. I would give it 8.5/10. Didn't understand the ending.

Lockout

Trailer

Pretty entertaining popcorn flick about a CIA agent who's tasked with infiltrating a maximum security prison in space and rescuing the president's daughter. Guy Pearce is pretty charismatic and the chick who was taken in Taken is nice to look at. Doesn't take itself too seriously so you shouldn't either.

6.5/10

Into the Wild was probably my least favorite of all the really highly regarded movies of the last ten years or so. I just really disliked it. But I read the book in college and disliked that too. It's very pretty to look at. But I find the author so unlikable it's actually affected my opinion of Emile Hirsch long term.

But I'm definitely in the extreme minority, so by all means give it a shot.

That movie was rubbish. 4/10 at best.

No doubt it's a "turn your brain off" kinda flick, with meh acting from most everyone but Pearce, and more than a few elements but I like sci-fi and prison movies a lot so I still enjoyed it.

9/10

Excellent flick loosely based on real events. 2 planes, one German, one British shoot each other down in a remote mountainous area of Norway in 1940 and the surviving crew members must cooperate with each other in order to survive. Beautifully shot. Some of the dialogue gets sappy in parts, otherwise I'd give it a perfect score.

Shotgun Stories - 8/10

This is the first film by Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Mud) and it's about a blood feud between two sets of step brothers in Arkansas. It was very good and Michael Shannon is just such a good and interesting actor that he elevates the whole thing. Very much looking forward to more things from Jeff Nichols.

Wolf Creek 2

If you've seen the first one you know what to expect. Crocodile Dundee meets Ted Bundy is back and one again preying on tourists. Plenty violent; I probably could have lived without seeing a dude get his dick cut off though lol.

Lots of one-liners from Crocodile Bundy. He's pretty cartoony in this, can't recall if it's more or less than the first one. Solid slasher with a memorable villain if you're in the mood.

6.3/10

Under the Skin

Awfully disappointed. Was really into it for the first 20-30 minutes, then just got bored. Some interesting story telling methods, I enjoyed the way that explanations were revealed rather than spelled out but not nearly enough explanation was given in my opinion with far too many pregnant pauses in between. Some pretty pictures and cool ideas but fell really flat for me. I suppose I would recommend seeing it just because it's unique but I didn't like it, felt like it stole some of my life force.
