I picked Winthrop over Notre Dame, as I'm sure many others did.
The Badgers closed the 1st half and are only down 8, I suspect they will come back, though it'd probably be better if they lost because I have them going out 2nd round and I imagine others have them going alot further.
Winthrop over ND ain't really an upset...those who followed college ball know this.
There was a lot of talk about Winthrop being a really good team that could make some serious noise. They were like the upset pick everyone was going for, but as the tournament got really close it started going the other way, that Winthrop was getting overvalued and getting too much respect, and that Notre Dame would beat them. I stayed with Winthrop because I thought they were good and Notre Dame didn't really impress me, but it could go either way.
you could literally hear the whole town of rock hill cheering when the buzzer sounded today (i graduated from winthrop and still live about six blocks from campus). FINALLY getting out of the first round is huge, but unfortunately most of our better players are seniors and we really have no decent young bigs to develop. i can't wait for the oregon game.

South Carolina needs to ship Dave "I wasted 4 years of Tim Duncan/NIT legend" Odom out immediately and bring Gregg Marshall (Winthrop's coach) in. He's a damn good coach.
