Default Knicks Working on JJ Redick Deal

    Shump and filler for Redick

    Via Alex Kennedy

Personally I dont think this trade completely solves our issues; it still leaves us a mainly jump shooting team...just eith an additional jump shooter.

Knicks largest problem has been a lack of diversity in their offense.

In short: we need someone who can attack the rim, and who will do so ruthlessly and incessantly.

The deal id make.... Shumpert for Tyreke Evans

A ball handling 2 who gets to the rack with ease, and posesses court vision and passing ability which can be used to get shooters the ball as the defense collapses around him. A forgotten talent who Sac hasnt exactly been thrilled with.

I love JJ Redick. He's like Novak who can run off the screens, handle the ball and isn't so horrible defensively.

Right now he's much better than Shumpert. If Shumpert returns to his old himself then I probably wouldn't trade him but if we're in win-now mode then J.J.Redick is definitely an improvement over Shump.

I will never change my stance on this... Tyreke is the answer. We need a slasher

Tyreke is talented but he wants the ball in his hands,he's selfish and has a low IQ.
We don't need another guy who wants the ball in his hands. We already have like 4 of them (Melo,J.R.,Amare,Felton).

Redick is perfect fit for our offense. He can run through screens and get some open looks,he is a very good 3-pt shooter, doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective and he can even attack the rim if he gets some space. The only thing that worries me about him is his defense.

Actually..thats exactly what we need...in the right circumstances

When jumpers arent falling guess what the knicks do? Shoot more jumpers.

When the Knicks tied the game with the Raps whatd they do on a critical posession which could have given them the lead? Shot a long jump shot.

In situations like these we need diversity in the offense...we need a 2 foot floater, not a 20 foot 3 pointer

When you even just TRY to get to the rack good things happen: the floor opens up, you can draw a foul, you get a chance at a high percentage shot, an And1 can take place, etc.

What is the apparent obsession with trading this kid. Only young talent we have and current competent guard defender outside JR Smith. They must be wanting to go with JR this offseason.

Reddick has developed a nice slashing game to compliment his shooting.

Whatever happens with JJ I will wish him all the best. Probably my favorite Magic player at the moment. He'll improve any team that trades for him. I think he'd fit in well in the starting line up for the Knicks.

What would the Nuggets give up? I know theyre winning now, but that roster is a mess.

    C.Brewer
    T.Mozgov
    W.Chandler
    And maybe even A.Miller

are players the FO would be willing to give up (depending on the return). I'd try to keep WC as long as possible, unless the deal is too good to pass on

Brewer would be the first guy i'd trade. He's got some value, becuase he really is a good player. Just not a good fit in Denver (we NEED to fix 3pt and FT shooting and Iggy is going nowhere)

We don't need him, we need post up players inside. I don't like it.
