Default Remember when Warriors fans booed their owner for the Ellis trade?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMfn6-mb8_4

This was during a period where they had only made the Playoffs once in decades.

They've made the Playoffs every year since and are going to the Finals with a great chance of winning a title. Warriors fans owe this man an apology. Another case of fans acting like they know more than the guys that are paid to do the job, and looking foolish in turn.

Hindsight is 20/20. Although I think Monta Ellis is somewhat underrated, you arent winning shit with him. Need more owners with foresight like him.

Fans loved Monta. He played the most minutes in the league and played extremely hard and would give fans something to cheer for when there wasn't much else to. No one wanted to see Monta go but all knowledgable fans knew GS was on the come up when they secured Bogut with the trade.

There was a great article about the warriors fu*k ups over the last like 25 years.. Mind boggling how many bad trades, bad drafting and horrible decisions they made up to that point.. Since then they've been golden

    Solid turnaround

Yeah, though I personally didn't boo the owner.

I think people booed because of how much front office failed in previous years.

I hate the Warriors now, but I loved watching Monte play for them. He was one of my favorite players at the time. He was exciting to watch and he gave it his all for that team each and every night. He was the true alpha, and made Curry look like a punk ass beta.

Why, when he is moving the team across the bay and to top that off they probably wont have a championship parade in Oakland if they win it all. Nice kick in the teeth to fans that supported the team for 40+ years in the East Bay.

This. it's understandable since Monta was popular among the fans. He played as hard as anyone in the league.

It was a high risk, high reward move. Bogut is a game changer on defense and GS didnt have that for a very long time but he was never healthy. Monta brought GS good seasons but he also had injury problems.

Turned out to be worth the risk, but fans are never going rational about anything even when they win it all. Also, the smarter basket fans can always predict things that a front office can IMO.
