Default Bucks reject Knicks trade offer

Quote:
The truth is, contrary to Isiah Thomas' denial when word got out, Knicks GM Glen Grunwald initiated a trade call last week to Bucks GM Larry Harris in an effort to trade Zach Randolph. As far as I can determine, the word got out when Harris called his Trail Blazers counterpart, Kevin Pritchard, to check out Randolph, whom the Knicks acquired from Portland last June on draft night, and someone in their organization leaked it to a reporter for The Oregonian. By that time, the Bucks had summarily rejected the Knicks' proposal: Randolph and Renaldo Balkman for Charlie Villanueva, Bobby Simmons and Dan Gadzuric.
hey i just seen this on www.si.com anyone care, just for fun, to give a good/bad if the deal had went thru?

If Izidiot trades Balkman I will find him and ____ him. Fill in the blank, it's not kiss, but begins with K.

If that trade goes through Quentin Richardson never sees the court again. Q should be mailing the Bucks a thank you card.

I think it's a stupid deal for the Knicks to trade Randolph and Balkman for Villanueva, Simmons, and Gadzuric. Randolph is the Knicks' best post player, and their best rebounder. Balkman is probably the best defender, and the best hustle player. Trade Curry, Marbury, etc. Don't trade Renaldo. The guys to keep on the team: Jamal Crawford, David Lee, Nate Robinson, Renaldo Balkman, and Jared Jeffries. Those guys are the key to the Knicks' success.

If Zach Randolph is a better post scorer than Eddy Curry it isn't by much.

I'm not a fan of the offered trade but it's not horrible either.

What the hell kind of a deal was that? I'm glad the Bucks declined. Gadzuric, Villenueva, and Simmons, for Randolph, and Balkman? Balkman is of the only energy guys, that actually makes some hustle plays, and you want to trade him?

If anything, get that bum ass Jared Jeffries out of here.

Common opinion among Knicks fans.

I really think too many have been sold on the notion that these knicks players are all great and talented and only Isiah is holding the them back from the championship. Turn it around, how many teams would start Randolph (instead of their current guy) and have Balkman come first off the bench for them? Not as many as New Yorkers think.

That may not be an ideal trade, but personally I think Villanueva has the best overall game and most upside of the 5 mentioned.

Like I said before I'm not a fan of the proposal but it's not horrible either.

I don't think I would have turned it down if I was Milwaukee. It allows Yi Jianlian and Andrew Bogut to play from high to low which both are better at. It allows Randolph to play low to high which he's better at.

Would make the Bucks champs or anything but not a bad deal for them.

i agree with u. though i havent seen much of charlie v, he has to have the most upside. he musta slipped, but he had a lot of potential back then. and zach isnt the best post player on the knicks, its obviously curry

That position actually has guys who can start that wind up riding pine. So that really doesn't make much sense. There aren't too many teams who actually have terrible starting PF's.

I'm not saying Zach would be a piece to a championship contender as "the man", but he ain't garbage.

If we compared that potential deal.......

Zach is better than Charlie, we both know it. I will go out and say right now Zach would be Milwaukee's best forward right now. Not next year, but right now.

So to me, it would be lopsided unless they offered at least Bogut. That's my opinion.

And yes, I like Balkman. He does a little bit of everything, and every team can use a guy like that.

Balkman isn't the first guy off the bench though, he hardly plays even though he should. So I officially know by that statement you don't watch the Knicks at all.

The Knicks do stink because of team make-up and coaching.

They have a few good pieces that don't get the time they should on the court(coaching).
