Shaq shows such a lack of disrespect for any team that's not his own. I even remember seeing him on quite frankly throwing out names like Kareem Abdul Jabar, Wilt Chamberlain.. and only saying "what about em'?"

i agree it was kind of funny. among ordinary people it would be perfectly acceptable.

but for a professional to taunt rivals is 1) senseless and can easily backfire, 2) simply bad etiquette and shows disrespect for your profession.

i do like the big fella too, ego and all, but if i was a true miami fan (and not just a smack-talking knucklehead) i would be kind of pissed at him for these comments. you never give the other team any cheap motivation through the media, and if you're going to talk smack you do it on the court and leave it there.
