Default Stephen Curry vs Top PG defenders

    So I got bored.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/...1&p2=westbru01

Westbrook is supposed to be one of the league's elite PG defenders. Big, athletic, aggressive. Curry lights him up for 23 on elite shooting percentages nightly.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/...01&p2=walljo01

John Wall, billed as "the best PG defender in the NBA" http://www.bulletsforever.com/2014/1...ington-wizards Holy shit curry drops 22 on him nightly on 49/47/91 in only 30mpg.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/...1&p2=beverpa01

One of the only reasons Beverley gets a starting spot on the Rockets is his ability to defend. I don't think he affects Curry one bit.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/...1&p2=conlemi01

Mike Conley and his team are known to be good defensively. Curry hits his averages against them quite easily.

Then, we have CP3. As you can see, Curry's numbers are lower across the board aside from his shooting percentages. A lot of this has to do with the Clippers' game plan against Curry which is to double him and make his teammates step up.

Dude's shot is so consistent and he's so crafty, he's definitely the hardest player to guard at the PG position.

So Westbrook has a career record of 13-6 vs Curry

Including the legendary 17-15-17 performance earlier this season.

Yeah, but the Thunder have been better for longer and he played with KD. I don't understand your point.

pg defense is a TEAM assignment. Please WATCH basketball and not box scores.
and westbrook is undisciplined and not a good defender, too many reach arounds, gambles, etc. INB4 casual fan saying westbrook #1 in steals, not knowing shit about defense.

The 'casual fan' here is you...watch the Thunder vs Heat game from the past week...Westbrook had Wade on lockdown.
