    Default Project X

Does anyone else see this movie bombing at the box-office?

Well I guess bombing isn't the right word. I haven't heard a lot of hype about it to begin with. Anyone going to see this?

tons of high schoolers are gonna go to this movie, and probly alot of college kids. i've seen tons of commercials about it. i'd probly go see it if i had enough money to blow in a movie theatre.

It looks awful. The commercials don't even have any jokes in them, they're just trying to sell it based on the fact that it's from the guys who produced The Hangover.

I know these types of movies draw the interest of high-school students but I really don't see it turning out as well as they might be hoping. Usually party movies have some sort of jokes in the previews to get people talking about it, but this movie doesn't even have that. It just looks awful. Superbad looked funny, The Hangover looked funny, this movie...not so much. My guess Act of Valor and The Lorax will be the box-office winners. I bet The Vow will beat this as well.

Are you sure he didn't just see the trailer that describes the movie as "Superbad on steroids."

LOL. I guess that's why he said it, but he did see the movie and thought it was pretty entertaining.

i feel like i've seen the whole movie through the preview.

    parents go out of town

    two losers wann feel popular

somehow get money to throw the biggest party ever

throw the party and it starts off well. girls goin crazy, popular guys tell
    them how cool they are

people start getting to drunk and crazy shit starts happening

house gets lit on fire and cops/helicopters come to try on put it out

    gets put on national new

as for the ending... im guessing the parents come home and ground them but the kids feel empowered by the party the have thrown and it will always be a great memory.

It's a found footage movie starring a bunch of nobodies. I wouldnt be surprised if Warner Bros spent more on the advertising campaign than they did the on the actual production.

It looks like to have a very low budget on producing, but more on advertising. And movies with high advertising budgets usually sucks......
