Angry Workout inflexibility???

I use the gym a little more regularly than I should. I box as well as balling, and both sports are suffering as a result of decreased flexibility cause by the weights. My boxing coach says you need the longest, loosest muscles possible to throw a good punch which is true, but as I'm not willing to give up the gym he can't tell me how to counteract it.

Any advice?
