Default Sixers Summer League Thread

Just thought we can have a thread to talk about the games. Philly won their first game and looks like Shav did a pretty good job. I know not really that big of a deal since its against other team's scrubs but hey there's hardly anything positive to talk about the team past few days. Bobby Jones was also injured, just hamstring though and nothing serious apparently.

Link is right here

Shav did good, but it's a little deceiving.. 17 of his 25 points were free throws.. But he was all over the boards.. Carney seemed to do good.. I wanna see Louis Williams step his game up..

slightly OT, but in the link you provided check the boxscore of Dallas v San Antonio. DJ Mbenga is starting at G... WTF?

That's not decieving, it's good. If your big man is taking 23 free throws and making 17 of them you're in good position, because it's clear the opposing team can't guard him.

Louis Williams seemed to play a good game from the boxscore. What do you expect out of a 19 year old learning the point guard position at the NBA level after barely playing last season?

6 turnovers for louis williams
4-11 for shav

Only bright spot is seeing Carney and S.Smith stats. Carney especially.

Against the Jazz today. Box score and recap could be up soon.

we won 81-74. good game guys! We didn't have carney, jones, or randolph, and still won. Louis williams had 27 on 14/15 at the line and steven smith had 23. here's the link:

I recorded the jazz vs sixers game. Not very good quality as the antenna in my basement doesn't pick up the channel it was on very good. Does anyone know a good torrent site I can put it up onto? It is 1.4gb so I don't really know how else to share it if anyone is interested.

i was at that 76ers/ jazz game. as a jazz fan, of course i'm gonna say we were raped by the refs in that one. But it was also our own stupid fault for a 3rd quarter meltdown with a billion turnovers. I really wanted to see Carney in action but he didn't play. Louis Williams did tho. Did he ever. All i know is that kid came outta high school and some of you were questioning the 76ers picking him cuz you already have AI. But ima tell you right now - everyone who walked outta that gym last night was asking, "Who WAS that kid?!"

i don't know about the rest of you but I like the way Steven Smith and Louis Williams have played. I'll give Carney a few more games to get used to everything.

Our Rentzias, Edin showed up in the game against the Spurs. Louis has to cut down on his turnovers though but still doing well even without Carney, Jones and Shav. lol.

yousendit.com allows up to 1gb, so maybe you could edit and take out some of it, or rapidshare but you would have to split the file.

I know this is from a while ago but I just started posting on this site pretty recently. I have to say that I am impressed the way all the young guys played even though they were without Carney most of the games.
