Default The newest 76ers Thad Young Jason Smith and Derrick Byars

SF| Thad Young Georgia Tech
great upside is going to be a great player. potentially a all-star if we devlop him right and are patient and keep him around for 4 years till he can really do some big things. he beat Durants team in the Jordan classic and was named MVP he had a 20+ 10+ double double that game.
cons
will have to wait atleast 3years untill we really see something out of him

PF| Jason Smith Colorado State
a nice player needs to get stronger.. decent rebounder not great. atlethic 7 footer who can play facing the basket. had a 20-20 game last season in college. look for him to start helping us next year
cons
Gets alot of TOs
Foul trouble
not a great rebounder at his size at a NBA level

G/F| Derrick Byars Vanderbilt
Steal at 42 ranked at 20-30. Is NBA ready good leadership skills and a good athlete.Led his team troughout the season avg 17ppg. Played for vanderbilt. Can play PG aswelll and has played it in his college career at times.Had 24points 8assists and 5steals in a upset vs the champion florida gators. he has a nba ready body and absorbs contact
cons
shot selection
Gets TOs
Not a great FT shooter

All three of them worked out against each other for the 76ers on the same day June 6th

C/F| Kyrylo Fesenko Ukraine
Dont know much about him except hes very raw and hes a good rebounder and has good nba size with strenght. Will stay overseas for a while.
Cons
Do we have to buyout his contract?
has a raw offensive game

Overall its a decent draft for us couldve gotten better players but its still decent

A little article on Kyrylo Fesenko. I'm somehow happy we got him, for the sole reason I could say "I called it", as I mentioned him on the "players I'd like philly to draft" thread, along with Kopponen

Is he staying overseas then? I'm looking forward to see this guy some day in a Sixer uniform, and that's likely to happen unlike last years second round pick Bavcic (who I still don't understand why philly bothered to waste cash for).

I will be content with this draft only if Billy King Trades Andre Miller. Without Miller we will sink, and then we might be able to Get a bartum a mayo a rose or a beasley to build around. That would be awesome if we could get one of those 4 to be a person to build around with him and Iggy. Then we would have a sick lineup when daly turns 29.

Daly Hunter
Smith
Thaddeus Young KK
Andre Igoudala Derrick Byars
O.J Mayo some hobo.

Kyrylo Fesenko traded to Utah

Quote:
Utah-Philadelphia
Utah gets:
Rights to 38th pick (Kyrylo Fesenko)

Philadelphia gets:
Rights to 55th pick (Herbert Hill)
Additional considerations

Yes, it's official. not an article yet, but it's on ESPN and NBA.com

Thad Young could go either way but if he realizes his potential it would be a great pick for us. Im incredibly happy we got Byars it was a huge steal and i think he will be a very good rotation player for us in the future.

Herbert Hill was considered by some people a late first round possibility. The guy is a "meat and potatoes" big man. Just gets the job done...i didn't think that pick made much sense with them having Boozer and Millsap. I like it i guess...
