disagree completely.

Jose is an nba caliber pg, regardless of a bad pre-season.
toronto fans can be so ridiculous some times.

I guy who shoots 50/40/95 and can easily average 8-9 assts and under 2 to.

I agree he is poor defensively (so are a lot of nba pg - see jkidd, snash) but the real problem is he doesn't fit in our system any more.

Jose belongs in a half court offense (which by the way is playoff basketball), not run and gun. THere is an interesting article on tsn.

I predict Jose will be traded to a team that loses their starting pg to injury during the year. I could see him on the mavs, clippers, grizzlies, kings, etc.
He may never return to all-star form (we forget he was almost named to the all-star team 3 years ago) but he will be back.

Yes, I agree.
His preseason was horrible about his own scoring, but the ball movement is so much better with him on the floor that I still played him as the starter.
BTW, every game I watch, the worse Jack's defense looks. It looks like he doesn't even try. Somebody should ask him a bigger effort on the defensive end.

About the opener topic... maybe Jose decides to go back to Europe when his contract finishes, especially if he has more physical problems. But I can't see the relation to being traded.

Although I notice that we short change the players on our roster, Jose is not the player he was 3 years ago when yes.....there was talk of allstar potential. But his effectiveness on the court is entirely relative to him making his 3pt attempts at around 40%. That aint the case anymore and hasnt been since 3 years ago.

If Jose runs the offence, makes his threes and keeps his asst/To ratio low then YES, he's an NBA PG. You can overlook his defence.

I would tend to agree that on the current path he's on, if traded then he'll be back in Europe in 2-3 years.

Calderon will get big offers from Spain when he's a free agent. He'll easily be good enough to be in the NBA at that point and he'll have plenty of NBA offers, but he may want to go home.

Well if you say shooting 39.8% last year ain't the case anymore.
And the year before he shot 40.6% from 3.

Jose is a consistant shooter, and that hasn't changed.
Unless you are talking about pre-season which means nothing.

Jose actually would have fit Larry Brown's system perfectly because LB prefer to slow the game down and play in the half court.

It a shame Mike is such an asss. While I don't think Boris or Chandler would have fit well here at least they would have given us the cap flexibility going forward.

Not to mention they have Wallace very capable of 'helping' Jose everything he gets beat off the dribble. Sjack is a decent defender ya?
