Saving Private Ryan. Truly amazing. 10/10. The cinematography is awesome, especially considering it's over a decade old. I watched it in blu-ray as well, so even better. All-around solid.

District 9. I don't know why I watched it, because I'm not a fan of the genre at all and was expecting a predictable, SFX-laden aliens vs. humans movie, but it surprised me. Definitely worth a watch. 78%.

The fact that the film wasn't nom'd for Best Pic and Hanks wasn't for Best Actor was a joke, although it did deservedly get the Cinematography Oscar.

The Dirty Dozen (1967) - 5/10. Came across this while trying to hunt action WWII films that were similar to The Great Escape. Pretty hard to take this movie seriously, hasn't aged well at all. Climax is somewhat exciting, even if a bit ridiculous. BTW, Jim Brown has a major role in this movie...his acting was mediocre though.

Awesome film making here. Great, evocative score, cinematography, acting, etc. Some lol moments too, like Brad Pitt's character speaking Italian with a thick as **** southern accent..."uhreeverderchi."

Same movie, same thoughts basically. I wish they focused more on the Basterds. The bar scene was badass.

I loved The Dirty Dozen, not as good as The Great Escape, then again I'm also a huge Charles Bronson fan in general.

Wall-E.

All I can really say is that the fact that a love story about robots with almost no dialogue can make me feel so much is incredible. Those guys at Disney have got it nailed.

Like, I was almost pleading to the TV for Wall-E to "remember" Eve. A frigging movie about robots has no business turning me into a 4 year old kid!

97%. Incredible film.

I just finished watching the man of the year, your probably thinking of the movie Robin Williams was in, correct? Well thats what I wanted... instead they gave me THE man of the year, not man of the year...yes their is a difference.

Got:

The movie was extremely f'd up, but was interesting. 6/10

Plus it was in Portuguese (coincidence?) and I had to read subtitles the entire time. so -1, 5/10.

I don't remember a character named Mr Drummond in the movie. I don't think there was one.

Looks like an NBC special movie or something. Only thing that elevates cliche stuff like this to theater status is the production values. It's obviously just another sugar coated cliche football movie.

Bullock was brilliant in the movie. It's worth going to see. Check it out.
