Default So in your opinion who was N.W.A.'s most talented member?

The general consensus might be Ice Cube? But I'm saying Easy E.

Who you got?

Cube was my favorite when I was little...

I could see Dre winning this but Cube had more attitude IMO

Cube was the writer and had the best solo careerr. Dre wouldn't have made it if Em hadn't come along and resuscitated Aftermath. And without his ghost writers.

Seems like this NWA threads comes around weekly. Why can't new people on this site just find an old topic on it instead of starting a new one every time?

Dre made Em. Not the other way around. Dre as a producer made a lot of people. Cube had the best style and lyrics though.

I wouldn't go so far as to call Dre. a genius. 90% of the hits he's put put have been samples of old 70's Funk records.

I mean they were all great at different things. Dre clearly is the production master, perhaps greatest of all time. Cube clearly wins the lyrical side of things as he pretty much wrote everything. And E was the showman. I think they are all needed for NWA to be successful. Don't sleep on Ren either. His solo joint "Shock of the Hour" is a very much slept-on classic. You can find it on albumbase.

Still a genius. Many may consider Kanye or Diddy musical genius, and all they do is sample.

Ice Cube and then Eazy as far as being the most talented lyricist.

I love Dre's solo work, but he doesn't write half his songs.
