Actually the current US squad would fair better against them then they do against these international squads. I mean they would obviously lose but I don't think they'd be blown out that bad. I say 110 - 98 or something.

well lets think about this game: even if you consider LeBron and Wade to be as good as some of the swingmen from 92, there is NO comparison between the front courts:

Bosh
Brand
Howard
Miller
Jamison

vs.

Hakeem
D.Rob
Barkley
Ewing
Malone
hell even Laettner could cause them problems

the centers and PFs would eat the 2006 team for breakfast, it's not even close

yeah, this teams problem wasn't talent. they didn't run any plays and played with little heart. Just look at that spain argentina game, nocioni was going nuts scola and oberto played their hearts out too.
for these european team the wc is the thing to win and they wait for it all year, while for the US players it's just vacation.

1992 Team - 110
2006 Team - 85

1992 High scorer, Charles Barkley with 22.
2006 High Scorer, Carmello Anthony with 25.

i'm pretty f'n disappointed in team usa losing in the final 4. they now have a chance to secure the bronze. so exactly who thought this squad was better than the 2000 team? allen iverson and stephan marbury are probaby sharing a celebratory drink with larry brown right now.

It would end about 125-65 I can't imagine who would score against MJ Pippen at Guard and Ewing-Robinson-Malone-Barkley pick who ever you want
and for PG Magic - Stockton combo is the best ever...

Not to nitpick but Hakeem didn't play on the 1st Dream Team. he became a citizen for the 1996 team.

Even if you want ot say that Barkley and Malone are comparable to 'Melo and Brand - nobody on the current team could touch D.Rob and Ewing in terms of strength, offense, defense, rebounding, experience. Specifically D-Rob who was a freak.
