In college, I used to listen to some black/death metal bands like cradle of filth, therion, anthrax, dimmu borgir, celtic frost, carcass, marduk, kataklysm et al. Those were the days.

I tried getting into them but couldn't stand the singer (as with most death metal). Good music though.

Amon Amarth are pretty good. I can appreciate Viking death metal like this in an industry that's saturated with it. Scandinavians make some of the best metal.
