ive ben offered this trade: gasol and baron davis for lebron james and jason terry. should i do it? who gets the better trade? if i do this i can slide smith to sf and allen to sg. bd is my pg, and aldridge and gasol pf/c. the only reason im scared to do this trade is that lebron is my keeper. i would be losing my keeper.
my team
LeBron James SF
Josh Smith SG,SF
Ray Allen SG
LaMarcus Aldridge PF,C
Jason Terry PG,SG
Boris Diaw PF,C
Rajon Rondo PG,SG
Ben Wallace C
Troy Murphy PF,C
Walter Herrmann SF,PF
Jamaal Tinsley PG
Brad Miller C
my franchise players from last year are james, and smith. so allen was my first pick.
gasol is gonna be such a beast this year. seems like everyone thinks that. bd is the problem for that just cause of the risk. if you can get it then maybe flip bd for someone else you could try that too.

Josh Smith would be a nice fill-in if you lost LeBron. Gasol would really bolster your big men. Like SRZ66 mentioned earlier, Davis is a huge risk-reward player, and he's a major upgrade compared to losing Terry, who isn't even starting for the Mavs at this point apparently.
I don't know enough about keeper leagues, so you'd have to weigh that. But I like the way it potentially strengthens your pg and big man spots significantly while downgrading one roster spot (SF) much more minimally. Unfortunately, you'll miss LeBron's scoring with your squad too.
Long story short, I don't have a decision for you, but I hope I gave you something to chew on.
i'd do it, maybe even involve a 3rd player on each side because you'll have so many bigs. but gasol is great and bd will do more this year without jrich on the wing. but yeah, i'd clear out some of ur 4th or 5th string centers for some help at wing and guards

I would NOT do this trade for 2 reasons. #1 Lebron hasn't even hit his ceiling yet. Trading him for past numbers value will bite you in the ass. #2 Bdiddy and Gasol are both beasts. Gasol had a freak injury so don't worry about that. Diddy is a warrior and will cost you some games during the year. But will shine during fantasy playoffs. If you are a gambling man go ahead...My point is that your 2 keepers will end up being Gasol and J-Smoooove. I prefer Lebron and J-Smoooove by a few ticks.
Your team does need help. oooo wait a minute....its a 5 starter league....
hmmmm....Hell NO!!!!!!!
You have a nice team for 5 starter league. With alot of different starting options.
PG: Jason Terry
SG: Josh Smith
SF: Lebron James
PF: LAldridge
C: Ben Wallace
Comments:
PG: Lebron will help Terry with assists. Tinsley is above avg but streaky, Rondo will have plenty of stls but thats it. Terry give you the same amount of assists with 3's. Easy.
SG: this is a toughy. Ray Allen is a monster 3 point shooter but requires you to sit JSmith losing his Rebs, Blk, and stls. If Aldridge and Wallace cover those cats for you...go ahead and bench him. Personally i think your #1 pick in Allen was a mistake. Ray Ray was probably the highest ranked player on your cheasheet, but doesn't fit into your lineup at all...Hinrich or Joe Johnson would have been better picks, because they don't clash with your keepers. Understand? Or even a high end center.
SF: lebron and Jsmith have this locked up. nobody will ever start here over them , even on weeks where they play 2 games and others have 3. So focus on the other positions.
PF & C: This is where your team is most versatile. LA, Wallace, Miller and Hermann are your primary players. Diaw and Troy Murphy should never find their way into your lineup on a regular basis except for emergencies. LA and Wallace are your power plays. And then Hermann-LA/Wallace is your FG%,FT%, and 3-booster line. Or Aldridge-Miller for those weeks you get tired of carrying Wallace's crappy ft%.
Also Jason Terry is a baller. He does it all. 3's, assists, Stls, ft%, fg%, pts and he doesn't get hurt. Has missed less than 15 games in 8 seasons!!!!
You have a strong team that can win it all....good luck.
