Re: Mo Williams?
I love Jack on the Lakers. He's a great defender, a good decision maker, and can knock down the open shot. Of course, his experience is questionable, but then again he's a very heady player who doesn't make many mistakes.
Calderon wouldn't be as great of a fit. His outside shot is way too inconsistent. When it's going down, he's next to impossible to stop, but when it's not, defenders can back off of him, or leave him to double. He also isn't the smartest player.Experience is a problem once again, except Jose is prone to making questionable decisions, so placing him in a pressure situation in the playoffs would not bode as well as it might with a guy like Jack. He's easily the most skilled of the three mentioned, but his skillset doesn't exactly compliment the rest of the Lakers. With Walton and Odom at the other spots, adding Calderon would leave no one to space the floor. Unless Vlad comes back strong, and we go with Odom at SF.
Brevin would be horrible. Basically Andre Miller, but worse. Those types of guys are great PG's when they can control the offense, but on a team with a superstar who gets a lot of iso's and double teams, he just wouldn't work.
And Mo is certainly worth around 8M, considering how much other guys at his position (and just in general) are making. The guy had a breakout year. He'd be awesome in LA, but c'mon, the MLE?
