Re: Real NBA Height
I still think Yi is bigger than Dirk. I think Dirk is 6'10"...6'11" max. Bargnani is probably 6'10" and 6'10.5" max.

Re: Real NBA Height
Baby Shaq of Greece
Sofoklis Schortsanitis was actually measured at 6'8 1/4" in the 2003 NBA Draft Camp and i believe he was the 34th overall pick by the Los Angeles Clipper. He was not signed by the team at the start of the season and instead he choose to play in the Greek League.
He was recently waived by the Greek National Team in their lineup because he is showing some attitude problem in their practice and he is much heavier now compare to his final run with the team in the 2006 FIBA Championship held in Japan.
Article from June 24, 2003
Today, the Knicks measured him at 6-foot-8 1/4 without shoes. Official N.B.A. measurements are recorded with players wearing their sneakers, so for league purposes, Schortsanitis stands about 6-foot-9 1/2. Not short, but not Yao Ming, either. Though he has the height of a forward, Schortsanitis plays a center's game.

Re: Real NBA Height
Lebron James 6'8" and Dwight Howard 6'9"
The Official NBA site listed Dwight Howard at 6'11" but in reality he is only an inch taller than Lebron James.
I think the NBA.com should upgrade Lebron James height to 6'9" because he is playing the SF position in the NBA. DA KONG KING was right when he though Lebron is 6'10" because Centers like Dwight Howard is marginally taller than him barefooted.

Re: Real NBA Height
Lebron looks 6'8" in that picture. Tim Duncan is exactly 6'10.5" like he was measured in 1997.
"I remember saying to myself, 'Here's a likely redshirt player,' " Odom says. "I thought he was serviceable, that he had very good skirts and that he was athletic. But my biggest relief when I got off the plane was to see he was really 6-10.
Few are in a class with Duncan, 6-10 and 252 pounds, who led the ACC in rebounds and blocked shots and finished second in scoring and field-goal percentage and averaged 37.2 minutes per game but never fouled out.

LeBron is just about 6"9 in shoes now, Brian Windhorst said he was 6"8 and 3/4th in his shoes. I think Dwight and LeBron being so close in height should put an emphasis on just how talented LeBron is.
