In 1997-98, KG's Timberwolves were the 7th worst defense.
Interestingly enough, KG's Timberwolves weren't even a top 10 defense until his 9th season, in 2003-04.

Bad team defense. One great defender cant single handedly make a team top 10 in defense

Because he's surrounded by "defensive" players like Greg Stiemsma, Alex Ajinca, Al-Farouq Aminu, and Brian Roberts...

Dwight did in Houston. that cast was filled with weak defenders yet Orlando was top 10 in defense. ofc SVG had something to do with it. Originally Posted by Smook A.
