Default Hardon struggling because he has 0 offball game

He relies on dominating the ball, heavy pnr (pick n roll), heavy snf (slash n flop) and can only shoot 3s and layups

He has absolutely 0 offball game (or midrange). Cant cut, cant navigate screens, weak positioning, shit footwork, low IQ to get to spots, weak movement etc. Enter Lawson a better playmaker and passer.............now Hardon looks useless. He would play better next to an ancient Jet or Prigioni.

Not everyone can play off-ball like Bird, Ray Allen, LeBron, Reggie Millier

Some people just like dominating the ball on offense, it is what it is.

Are we playing find the odd one out?

Harden's offensive game is garbage. That's one of the reasons I don't like the guy at all. His only moves are jab step and step back 3's and running into the paint, hoping for a foul.

Looks like he put no effort into going to into that role. Honestly, it all starts somewhere and he just has to commit to it, then the wrinkles will start to come about.

He was in the closing lineup with WB and Durant in OKC. And they had the best and most explosive offense in the league. IIRC he was one of the top 4th quarter scorers while being on the court with them. It's all about mentality.

I still get the feeling we'll just panic and go into Harden-ball. Spam high pnr's and clear outs. It'll carry the team to the playoffs but the ceiling is limited.

Yeah because he didn't excel in OKC alongisde 2 ball dominant wings. I'd love to live in a world where people didn't make sweeping statements after 2 games.

He still had the ball in his hands and was the main playmaker during 4th Qs. Kd and Russ actually have good to great offball games tho, Hardon didnt and we saw what happened when a team can force him to that position in the finals

40ppg guard is defenders just let him get to the rim when they can't stay in front instead of fouling trying to keep up/stop him once he's through them? It's a product of the modern nba being soft not a fault of harden.
