Why is the Iphone so popular?

A phone is a phone. I've seen androids that look just as good, does everything that it can do, and about 2x cheaper, so what is it about the Iphone that fanboys are going nuts over? The launch is bleh to me. It's just another stupid expensive phone being released amongst a million.

i got my iphone for free in my family plan, no complaints.

I personally prefer Android phones but aren't those the reasons people get iPhones? In addition to the morons who think it's some kind of status symbol, of course.

Just a great product. Smooth and silky. It is what you expect of the future. People like to say it takes Apple a long time to produce something others have but others run like crap. When you see how an Apple phone works, you will know why it took a bit of time to perfect.

Also, people will probably bitch about the 8MP camera but for some reason it is a better quality against its competitors.

That used to be the case, but a phone like the HTC One M8 has amazing build quality, or the One Plus One. Also, the newest versions of android have all been extremely easy to use.

My wife likes it because it's easy and she know how to do everything. She's not interested in heavy setup on a better phone. That cycle is hard to break.
