In this thread we celebrate our self restraint and monetary self awareness by posting expensive purchases we wanted to make but DID NOT. Maybe instead substituted with a cheaper item or simply got over our wants with hours of meditation.

I personally wanted to get a Burberry trenchcoat for this winter than realized that spending 1500 on a coat is kind of ridiculous. Am instead going to get a zara jacket for 60 dollars.
Tonight when I went to Subways. I really wanted to Subway club but instead opted for the cheaper 5 dollar black forrest ham.
Wanted to buy a new PS3 (mine broke) every time I've gone to the store. I have enough but I just keep thinking as soon as I spend that money something's gonna come up and I'll need that money. Also resisted the urge to open a credit card just to buy it lol
Bought an Ipod from Cowboom for 45$ but it didn't come with a usb cable, so I went to Staples and Wal Mart to buy one and the cheapest was 20$ **** that when I can get them off eBay for 1$ shipped I will just not get to use it for a few days until my cables i ordered get here. It's no issue since I use my phone anyways
