if his name was Frank Nicholas and he went to Kentucky he'd be a top 3 pick.

Yea, everyone would be calling him the next Glove, Knicks have a dude at the 1 position with a 7 foot wingspan; people don't seem to realise how difficult this would make life for any guard to face him.

So I'm guessing you've watched him play? Why are the scouts calling him an excellent defender and able to cover 1-3? I understand his offense isn't the best, and not either a pg or a sg but somewhere in between, but combo guards do alright. Knicks have lacked PGs that could cover someone. A defensive PG that has good enough offense to run the team would be great for them. The league is littered with great offensive PGs that have run trains on the Knicks since the 90s.

not only that but their eventual center is 7'3 and can shoot threes.

if the Knicks weren't idiots and didn't have Joakim Noah's stupid ass contract they could sign a max FA this year and be in a really good position going forward.

what were they thinking giving him that contract when they already had Porzingis who should be playing center..

Frank is bigger/stronger than Dennis. Better defense.

He's not en excellent defender in pro A right now he's just solid. He's not super athletic. He's just really long. He does not have any burst nor does he have a fast first step. He's not super fast at all. His handle is really loose and although he shot it well, he does t have the speed or the handle to shoot in the NBA. I think he will bust. He's really a combo guard and maybe better off the ball. He is not a passer and not a scorer. He's not really great at anything

Word is Frank will be coming off the bench which means that Phil and Co. may be interested in re-signing Rose.

Most reports give NY a very good mark for the selection. We'll see just how good he will be, won't we?

Lololol

Ok, yes he's taller and longer but he's not even a good defender in Pro A. He's solid. Scouts are in love w him because of his wingspan. If you think he's gonna be a better defender than Schroeder in the NBA you might be surprised. Schroeder would shut down every loser in Pro a all night long. So comparing Ntilikinas stats from that shit league to Schroeders stats from the NBA is just stupid. Wait til you realize that he's not a good passer, dribbler and that he's not fast and just an average defender at the NBA level. You'll be wondering why he wasn't picked 30th. He's the combo guard version of Damien Inglis.
