Kyler Murray looks AMAZING...it looks to me like he will make a legit run for Heisman this year.
HOWEVER...this will be Murray's last year playing football. Baseball is his best sport, and he was already selected 9th overall by the Oakland Athletics. He signed for $4mill and will play for them next season.
If I was the As I would let him play in the NFL as long as he stays a QB
In a dying sport his stardom would bring life back to baseball
If he's a serious prospect? Hell no. If they have no choice then put up with it but I am not having the guy I used the 9th pick in the draft (or something like that) on out there risking a career-ending injury in a completely different sport. And of course there's also the potential that as a starting NFL QB he decides to take immediate stardom over working his way up the minors. I highly doubt the Braves got much on-field value out of Deion Sanders moonlighting as an outfielder. If Murray makes a football roster his NFL team will want their rookie QB attending practices in the middle of the season and getting ready for games for the whole final third or something of the season. There's a reason most multi-sport athletes pick one. Baseball is less popular than it uses to be but a novelty won't be changing the reasons for that.
Kinda funny the one who got almost zero coverage (Haskins) will end up being the one who excels at the next level. He should definitely go number 1 in the draft.
The thing nobody mentions about Kyler murray potentially trying to juggle both football and baseball is that... you can't just half-ass being an NFL QB, you're either all in or all out. There's no way it could ever work out. Bo Jackson played RB.. a position where you don't need a ton of hours in the lab to succeed.
Not sure about Tua, he'll probably be a backup in the NFL
