It's been a great ride thus far. Being an Ohio sports fan isn't easy. I was too young to remember the Reds winning their World Series, the Bengals' success was fleeting, and the Cavaliers have mostly been moribund. This is a new feeling for me. I wish I was closer to the scene to pick up on what the buzz is like in the city of Cleveland these days. I can only imagine what it's like. I'm lucky if I can get to one game a year.
Hopefully, I can go to a playoff game. I'm planning out such a trip. Dammit, I've been a fan through all the bad sh!t we've been through. I want an opportunity to be there if there is a potential title game on the line. If not in the arena, then at least in the city. This could be a one in a lifetime thing.
LeBron, and this team, has saved basketball in this city. Without this, we would be talking about the Cavs in the same breath that we talk about current small market teams in dire straights such as the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers.
