I think you are profoundly underestimating how frustrated Americans are with the current administration and the trend of the country. On other message boards this is actually a big topic of conversation whether or not to go along with the impending "election" results.

I hope you realize that TX is actually about 50/50 split in terms of voting for Obama. San Antonio and Austin are actually quite liberal. There is literally a 0% chance of TX seceding.

There's no chance that TX will secede and Texas is nowhere near 50/50.

538 says there a 99.7 percent chance Romney will will Texas. Seeing as he has about a 12 point lead there, that prediction will come true.
