Uh, I might be an ass at times but I'd like to think that at least I'm not an anti-Semite and a bigot. No need to get upset that a childhood favorite was a jackass

meh... hard to sweat what people might say about disney. he could be a major SOB from what i've read.
not to mention, pretty hard for me to get upset about people POV's who lived in a completely different era. i mean, it's good to see the connections between then and now, but judging them too much is a fool's errand IMO.
anyway, the message wasn't intended upon your person. sorry if it came across that way.

Nah, it's cool and I agree. Unless the person was a legit criminal, I don't care much of their views but the action. And Disney is the GOAT animator and an American icon

haha, so YOU were the secret worshipper all along?
no no, *fist bump* bro
disney's stuff is indeed incredible, tho. the way he brought in live animals and set that huge standard of FPS. what is your favorite work if i may ask?
"jungle book" (1966) is definitely my gold standard, but everyone's tastes vary of course.

Walt Disney was not an anti-semite and there is no evidence of that claim other than current pop culture like FAMILY GUY trying to reinforce that bullshit.
Could it be because Seth Macfarlane was turned down by Disney studios ? we will never know for sure

Re: Insanely racist cartoon from the past:
I am serious can someone explain to me what is wrong with liking fried chicken and/or watermelon?
Like why is that an offensive thing to be accused of?
Edit: I will also throw liking mayo in. Why is liking mayo bad?

Re: Insanely racist cartoon from the past:
Mayo is fckin gross and is stereotyped a 'white' thing mainly too. Generally, ethnic ppl don't eat that shit.

Agreed. Mayo is nasty. Hate that it's an automatic thing at some restaurants. Get that nasty shit outta here.

I'm a white european and I love watermelon, don't dig fried chicken, but absolutely hate mayo - that stuff is disgusting.

Re: Insanely racist cartoon from the past:
Alright some people dont like mayo, but whats bad or offensive about liking it?
Eg. Why is it offensive to say anyone likes fried chicken?

because it became a racial stereotype a long time ago. whether that was due purely to perception or whether there's significant statistics behind it is a different issue.
got it?

Not really... I dont see how its a negative.
Most/all stereotypes are obviously offensive.
Eg. the stereotype of the black person being violent, white men being serial killers, white people not being able to dance, asians being nerdy, jews being greedy, mexicans being illegal, native americans being drunks, etc.
All of these are obviously offensive because they imply a negative about a demographic group.
