It's about rings, just as much as it's about where you ranked as the best player in your era. Yeah, Horry has 7 rings but when he got those rings was he top 5, top 10, top 20? Top 50 even. His 7 rings are not the same as Tommy Heinsohn's 7 rings.

What is everything? I would like to know what exactly makes Ray and Reggie's career so much better than Tmac when Tmac was a more talented player and even accomplished more than those guys did.

Because Iverson shouldn't have been up there.

    What is everything?
    Career totals
    Career averages
    All-nba teams
    all-star teams
    rings
    individual awards (MVPs/DPOY/etc)

Those are just some of the things that factor into a player's career.

I already said T-Mac was more talented, we all know this. That's beside the point. If this was about talent, then Mac would have been voted in 2 weeks ago.

Winning is a part of were you rank players, would Jordan still be number one if he never got passed the first round but still put up Jordan numbers, hell no. So why is it so hard to see why Ray and Miller should be ranked above McGrady? If McGrady made a few runs at the second round like Dominique Wilkins (notice I did say a few he only went to the 2nd round three times) then I think he would have been voted in already.

Talent and accomplishments is what will get McGrady around a 65-75 ranking. A few playoff runs get' him near the end of the top 50. Deep runs get into the circa 35 range. Finals and MVPs and he's top 25 and/or higher, that's how it was supposed to happen ...

To be clear, my vote is for Thurmond.

I think he won this one.
