What? Think before you post next time. Beasley originally commited to play for Charlotte when they hired his former AAU coach Dalonte Hill. Upon arriving in Manhattan Huggins snatched Hill up, to get the In with Beasley, Sutton, and others. Now with Huggy gone Beasley's destination will come down to what happens with his former coach/mentor Dalonte Hill.

“Our policy is we do not release student-athletes,” Kansas State Sports Information Director Garry Bowman told NBADraft.net today. “It’s been that way with all of our sports.”

“Our policy as a department is that we don’t grant releases. We invest a lot in recruitment, training, scholarshiping and boarding of our student athletes, and for us to grant releases is something that we would have to be convinced is in the best interest of both the university and the student athlete.”

Looks like K-State no matter what.

These kids aren't stuck at K-State. However they won't be released from their LOI until another coach is hired, and that coach has time to sit down with each player and discuss their future. This is common at most schools during coaching changes. K-State will feel an awful lot of pressure from the NCAA if they are being serious about not letting the kids go where they wanna go.

Either way, it can't be a comfortable situation for Beasley and Sutton.

Frank Martin will be named K-State's head coach later today. Dalonte Hill will be kept on as an assistant coach.

To me this seems like a desperate act to try and keep Beasley and Walker around. There have to be hundreds of people more qualified to be head and assistant coaches, although I doubt there is a whole lot of interest in K-State right now. Where does this leave K-State when Beasley and Walker are gone? My guess is looking for another head coach.
