Default Re: Hip-Hop: At full power, slowly dying, or straight up dead?

Hip-hop is dying that's for sure. Not dead yet. Rappers now a day just don't rap about anything worth talking about. Money, women, guns. Those are what a lot of the popular artist rap about, and really it is just sad. It's so annoying for me to have to search for a song I want to listen to, rather then just turn the TV on and expect it, because all I see on TV "I get money", "My girl got a girlfriend", and so on. Lyrics are just not important anymore. Ask a teenager who is better, Lil Wayne or Lupe Fiasco? I can guareentee that the majority would say Lil Wayne and that's sad.

Hip-hop isn't dead but if it continues to go on this route it will die.
