He owns a quarter of the company. He stepped down himself to not cost himself more money in the form of a lower share price. There was no witch hunt. Itís kinda like the hawks last owner selling when nobody even got upset yet because he thought he might be sterlinged.

So he stepped down immediately to evade the witch hunt. That's actually even worse. Its so strong he knew what was coming.

Losing a job is being unemployed and having to find another means of income (and in some cases fast). He's eating very well off the company that still has his face on all those pizza boxes. I really dont get why people especially average joes get all worked up over a dude who once was a billionaire. Who lost money and still worth give or take $800mil. He's fine. There is no stress on his end of how he will maintain his way of living like an average joe would when they actually LOSE A JOB. He's good. The dude who actually lost his job yesterday? Not so much. Learn the difference and stop all the boo hoo'ing over a wealthy f*ck.

Nobody was taken down. A guy let something slip that was gonna hurt his company so he stepped away(kinda) and now is "just" the largest shareholder in a multi billion dollar company. Had he stayed the pizza still get sold hed just have a brief controversy and be worth a few hundred million less.

its not all about money

the guy would probly give away half his fortune to make this shit go away so he could live his life without a cloud of liberal guilt over his head forcing him into hiding

If he weren't concerned with losing his fortune he just would have stayed on. He wasnt going to jail and these pizza still get sold. IF hes already hated(He isnt...people dont care) and he didnt care about money why not just stay and do the work and let the stock price drop?

He made his call.

Hes not gonna be in ****ing hiding. Hes chilling. What does he have to hide from?

Actual obvious out in the open famous racists dont have to go into hiding. What do you think is happening to him right now?

He's only backing down because he is a Republican.

But just to say the word nowadays and to say it in the context of quoting someone else shouldn't be a reason for people to flip out on someone.

Tarantino uses the N word in all movies. People still continue to watch his films. Blacks call themselves the N word all the time. They seem to be okay with it.

If you are going to bitch about something at least know what the hell you are talking about.
