Jordan had 9.9 free throws per game in the playoffs but you can't touch anybody now

What a ********** beta Steve Kerr is.

Hand checking is overrated and sloppy.

Nash was reliant on fastbreak opportunities and screens to initiate offense, I don't think it would have mattered how hard you could grab him if hes forcing you into PF picks all game.

It's true but the problem is Steph isn't exploiting it enough. He probably averages about 4 free throws a game, if that many. Harden and other players use this rule to their advantage. Though I can't think of any player off the top of my head that exploits it more than Harden except maybe DWade in years past.

The ironic thing is defenses are much more better and complex than those of 15 years ago.
Even an average team today would beat the best of 90s and 80s if they get taken directly out of that time period just for one game. If they have time to prepare than it's anybody's game obv, coz the talent didn't really change that much.
Offensive and defensive systems have advanced past hand-checking problem. There's a reason any team of today would destroy best 60s teams by 40-50 points

I don't think he's saying anything incendiary or knocking his own guy. Its a fairly honest assessment.

The game has changed. The game always changes.

What I love about that quote is that it's purely honest and unbiased. No agenda behind it, which is what forums and the internet has created.

Before forums, and the internet comment sections, most people would read the news paper, read about things going on around the world, and come to an honest opinion about how they feel. And they would only have strong opinions on something if they belong to a certain group.

Not to sound as if it was better back then because of that, because now at least the way it is now we have so much fact checking and error corrections, besides the agenda.

da bulls got some ridic calls. I don't even get upset at calls anymore it's just like oh ok. I just dunno how those dudes could sleep at night knowing they got Ws cuz of unfair refs. Not like they needed it to win a championship, but they still benefited from it a lot.
