Default Durant and...

If you can team Durant up with 1 of these players (current play without injuries) for just 1 season to win it all, who would you pick?

Westbrook
Rondo
Curry
Rose
CP3

And if you can add another non-all-star shooting guard onto the team, will they beat the current Heat?

Healthy Rose. Athleticism of Westbrook, but willing to pass the ball to a great scorer like Durant, and a much better game manager.

Doesn't fly up the court to take a mid range shot with 20 seconds left on the clock.

Surprised you didn't add Irving into the mix. I guess he was yesterday's news.

CP3 would probably the best, closely followed by a healthy Rose. A healthy Rose is practically the same athletically as Westbrook but with better decision making, vision, finishing at the rim and close body control.

I don't think CP3 really helps that team as much as people would like to think. I think the Thunder are best suited to play a fast team game. CP3 can slow the game down a bit too much for them.

You replace Westbrook with a smarter version of himself, and they're golden. The Thunder rely on overwhelming their opponents. Westbrook does a great job at being the main catalyst in doing that, but he goes too far sometimes.

You put the same type of pressure on the opposing defense, but in a smarter fashion, then they'd be unstoppable.

I think I'd go with Rose or CP3.

Rose, assuming he's back to 2011 form. Second choice would be Paul.

I love Irving's game and was going to put him and Parker into the mix but for some reason, I wanted a compact list. Kyrie is just as good as anyone on the list really. Can't wait to watch him next year as Kobe and Wade continues to decline.

Once Irving learns how to balance his playmaking and scoring, he'll be a top 5 player for a long time.

Rondo. Rondo is the best PG you can have with any athletic superstar that can shoot.

But the Thunder rely heavily on the PG putting pressure on the opposing team's defense.

That's what makes them elite. I don't think a pass first guy like Rondo really helps them like that.

I think you need a guy that sets the tone, and have others feed off that energy.

Rose or Curry

Rose because I think he's slightly better than Westbrook if he is healthy

And you know how much pressure the opposing team would feel if they played KD and Curry. You can't double team them both.

Westbrook or healthy Rose. He needs more than a classic PG.
