Default Raptors 06-07 Starting Lineup?

What do you think it will be when the season starts?

My predictions:

C - Nesterovic/ Bargnani
PF - Bosh
SF - Joey Graham
SG - Morris Peterson
PG - TJ Ford

i think it is a little too early for that, since B.C will make more moves. Yet the first lineup seems pretty accurate as of today.

I think that your right. But I think Bargnani will be getting some starts later in the season. I think Joey will start in front of Parker at the beginning but that might change aswell. I really think Joey will be a bright spot in the Raptors team. Keep an I out for him to get some easy baskets on the fast break.

I think Joey will breakout this season. Last season there were to many options...Mo Pete, Bosh, Villy or James...so now that 2 of them are gone, he will be 4th option...Mo Pete, Bosh, Ford or Graham...

I think that the starting lineup will be what was previously posted but maybe Anthony Parker instead of Joey. I think that those two will fight for the starting sf position.

That looks about right. Joey better step up or Parker will take his spot...likely moving Mo Pete to small forward.

The draftexpress article about Parker reported that the SF spot was his to lose in training camp. Truth? I don't know.

I do hope joey has a breakout season. It'd be a shame to let potential like his go to waste.

Graham to me is still a big myth. He does some good things but not enough.
Sometimes he comes into games and looked he doesn't belong there. Last year in pre season game, Parker looks just awsome against the raptors. The only thing I am wondering is when will AB gets into the starting lineup. Just thinking about it,

Rasho 7'0
Bosh 6'10
AB 7'0
Parker 6'6
Ford 6'0

mmmmmmm mo pete as the six man and if he does come off bench, he will be the six man of the yr but situlation stands right now, mo pete is probably starting at 2 or 3.

TJ/Calderon/FA
Parker/Salmons/Alvin
Mo Pete / Graham/Tucker
Bosh/Garbajosa/Humphries
Nesterovic/Bargnani/Sow

not bad and pretty good depth

I agree man, the raptors lineup is looking like its pretty solid right now. With Exception of the PG and Pf possitions, it looks like you can change up the other pieces and not have much of a drop off or have to change your approach to the game. Again, when Bosh is out the team will have difficulties finding a consistent scorer but there is promise in the lineup. Everyone has been talking about the lack of a solid three, if you think about it i think all these players can contribute. I expect tucker to be one of the biggest steals in this draft, a real glue guy. Looking good...anouncing Bosh' extension tommorow...at least its three years, at the beginning of last year i thought he walk all together with all the interest he was garnering. IE/ Phil Jackson's statements. Holla at Bosh for knowing that good things are about to happen.

Raptors don't really need a 3rd string PG.. they have Alvin Williams and Salmons who can run the point. I see the lineup almost like that but

Ford/Calderon/Salmons/Alvin/Roko Ukic <-- only if he comes over.
Mo Pete/Salmons/Graham/Tucker/Alvin
Parker/Graham/Tucker/Salmons/Garbarosa
Bosh/Garbarosa/Humphries/Slokar
Rasho/Bargnani/Slokar/Humphries/Garbarosa

Those guys are who i think that will play those positions when the time comes and dunno if the Raps have enough minutes for some of those players.. Slokar is coming over to fill in for Sow which TSN has reported. They would probably send Tucker down to the NBDL and maybe Slokar..

Let me ammend my previous reply

pg - TJ Ford/Salmons/Calderon
sg - Salmons/Parker
sf - Mo Pete/Graham/Tucker
pf - Bosh/Garbajosa/Humphries
c - Rasho/Bargnani/Sow or ?

My thinking here is that Parker will be first off the bench midway through the second quarter to relieve Salmons. Salmons will rest until its time for TJ to come off. Salmons hits the floor and plays point briefly till TJ's ready, and the rotation continuous thusly. Mo Pete will likely not log as many minutes as he did last year and unless Joey really steps up and impresses Sam, he might be playing only 10 minutes a game or so.

Another reason I have Salmons starting over Parker is the salaries. I cant fathom a situation in which the lesser paid of two newly signed players that essentially play the same position will be starting over the higher paid player.

To quote the South Park version of Johnny Cochrane while using his famous Chewbacca defense..."THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE! Ladies and gentleman of this supposed jury, if Chewbacca lived on Endor then Salmons must start over Parker."
