Buckshot LeFonque's Music Evolution was pretty good. Not up to par with the Jazzmataz collections, but solid. Underrated by default. You're the first I've seen reference this.

I was gonna put jazzmatazz up there but I'm still on that "f*ck solaar" tip. the first one was really good but after that it was just a few tracks per album.

I'm not big on Dilated. If anything (IMO), they're overrated because they're regarded highly in some circles. Ear Drums Pop (remix) was the standout track from Platform, but otherwise just IMO, album was weak.

People Under the Stairs is not my cup of tea either. Not a big fan. San Francisco Knights is about the only song I've considered notable.

While we're on the West Coast / Bay Area subject, what do you guys think of Cali Agents?

M-Pire Shrikez Back went way below the radar but it's mad solid. There are some very skippable tracks on there, but all in all the album is close to what I'd call a banger. I consider this highly underrated.

Been listening to this album non-stop. Discovering great music is one of the things I love about ISH.

I like the album pretty much top to bottom but another track that hasn't been posted yet that I love is T.A.M.I.

Some of the songs are nice, the title track is really nice. But overall the album was just a let down to me, not bad, but i was expecting something more after Da Storm.

The most underrated album in hip hop, as proven in this thread by a complete lack of mention, is....

    STICKY FINGAZ
BLACK TRASH: THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF KIRK JONES

One of the best conceptual albums ever made. Never deviates from the story or the point of the album. Every joint is crack, sick beats, amazing lyrics, and a rawness that only an Onyx member can conjure.

Listen to this track, where Sticky gets on his paranoid, jealous vibe and sheds light on how shady the girls in our life are

    Cheatin'

Check out this track, where Kirk Jones has an in-depth convo with a philosophical greater Entity...

    Oh my God

Another example of greatness, a real storytelling gem, Kirk comes out of jail and meets up with his boy after being found guilty in court and doin his time

    Why

It is not underrated these days although I kind of like it not being front and center like a few others. To me, it's the greatest and most perfectly cut hip-hop record of all-time and basically belongs to it's own universe like Outkast's 1996 masterpiece ATLiens. I'm simply not comfortable even comparing it to the other era classics that blend together for discussion with relative ease such as Illmatic, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Reasonable Doubt, Ready to Die, The Infamous, Doe or Die, etc. Plenty of differences abound there as well of course, but not to the dimension LS takes it. Definitely not an album for just anybody, nor is GZA as an MC.
