Note the ridiculous midrange jumper even at that age, well beyond any perimeter player today save for Kobe. Dude was something like 15-17 FG in the first half for 32 points against two excellent defenders. Unreal.

kobe's midrange is overrated, if his midrange is as good as MJ's then his efg% would be like MJ too

Why do people insist on trying to push Kobe and LeBron next to MJ? Both are great, but neither are as good as Jordan was. Someday we'll see a better player, but for now, just enjoy these guys for being one of the best.

Re: Michael Jordan 59 points, season 1988 bulls vs pistons
only reason jordan didn't score 81pt in his career is because he never jacked up so many 3's in a game. to score 81, you would have to make alot of 3's for sure. Kobe made 7 3's when he scored 81.
MJ's 69pt game he made 2 3pters. if he made 7 3pters MJ would've scored 74. and MJ attempted 37 fga. kobe jacked it up 46 times.
and yes, 69/18/6/4stls > 81/6/2/3

Sometimes I fell late 80's and 90's defenses are overrated.
