The sheer impact of Kyrie Irving: A must read
2017 was Kyrie's last year with the Cavaliers and the team won 51 games. In 2018 when the Cavs were without Kyrie how much did their team drop off? What was the Cavs win drop off, you ask? 1 game. The Cavs still won 50 games the very next year.
This Kyrie kid has to be the most overrated player in the NBA. A literally one-win drop off. PLUS, the Boston team didn't even need him to make playoffs or to beat the 76ers.
Sorry everyone, but a one-win drop off?

Didn't they get IT for him in a trade, you know, the guy that averaged 28 ppg and led his team to the ECF? Didn't they also add Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose & trade for Larry Nance and Jordan Clarkson, the two supposed best Laker cornerstones?

They surely picked up some pieces, which is what usually happens, but are you really saying 15 game sample IT had any impact on the Cavaliers last year? He was god awful, putting up a meager 14.7 on 36% while setting league history worst defensive statistics.
Same with Wade and Rose being pretty average at best. I'll give you Nance and Clarkson to a small degree, but really at this point you're scraping for anything if your argument is "Well yeah the Cavs lost Kyrie but in return they gained a hobbled IT, Larry Nance, and Jordan Clarkson."
I rest my case if this is all you've got.

but you left out the part where they signed Rose and Wade
why are those guys balling this season to the point that they're due to make the all-star team, yet you call them "some pieces"
Cavs also got George Hill, was he a scrub too?

2016 vs the 73 win "goat team":
2018 vs a 58-win 2nd seed that barely survived the wcf only thanks to opponent injury:
Statistically, we just saw the most lopsided NBA Finals ever. The Warriors swept the series while outscoring the Cavaliers by a combined 60 points, the largest Finals margin of victory ever.
2018 finals
dubs- 116 ppg
lescrubs- 101 ppg
-15 margin is largest in nba finals history

So your argument is that George Hill and 11 points per night Rose were carrying the load? Of course they were pieces to the team but Rose from last year is not the same as this year. Look at his time on the Timberwolves last year as well.

I'll simplify your putrid analysis with one question.
Did the 2018 Warriors have Durant?

yup. so did the 2017 warriors. that squad won 67 games.
cavs were able to at least win a game against the '17 dubs (ri ri led the cavs with 40 on that night) and not lose by the widest margin in nba history in a sweep.
