No doubt Hornacek does a great job especially with what options he has, but still I think Popp should win because he continues to coach this team to such an amazing success

If the Suns can make the playoffs, his chance will be there.
Even though they had already far exceeded any expectations for the season, but not making the playoffs will hurt Horny's chances.
My Suns will make it though.

Thats exactly why Hornacek deserves it more. He is taking a team of brand new players that were projected to be the worst team in the nba after the gortat trade into the conference in one of the most stacked western conferences in history. And he did it in one offseason. Originally Posted by ABfor3

Hornacek took a bunch of ****ed up leggo pieces and turned it into a piece of art in 3 months.
and Pop is the best coach in the nba.. problem is he has been the best coach in the nba for like 10 years you don't get coach of the year by doing something that your been doing forever this isn't coach of the decade.

If they make the Playoffs he has a strong case for COY. Nobody thought they would even sniff the playoff spots before the season.
