I'm surprised I'd never heard of this one as it's pretty darn good. It's about a guy whose wife is murdered one night then eight years later drops him an email. The plot's pretty twisting, so not one of those flicks you wanna get up from without pausing it first. Shot really well and the soundtrack is a mix of folksy/classic rock stuff and ambient electronica mainly. Good shit.
I saw that a few years ago, thought it was really good. Ben Affleck was supposed to be directing a remake of it, but I don't think it's going to happen.
Just downloaded it.
What were your expectations if 6.5 is better than expected? And how would you rate it compared to other DC animated stuff if you watched any?
I just watched it and I'd say it was pretty decent. Of all Batman solos, it's probably the worst one. Decent animation and story but nothing breathtaking. I'd probably rank it between 6.5 and 7 as well.
Pretty good slasher/home invasion flick. Not much to explain. A family gets together one night and some dudes wearing creepy animal masks and sporting crossbows decide to crash the party. There are some horror movie cliches but nothing too egregious. And the violence is pretty satisfying. Dug the camera scene a lot. Decent music too.
I am going to check this out, just watched the purge and it was better than I was expecting, this one I almost got but now ill go ahead and pick it up.
So there's this history teacher who's watching a movie one night when he notices that the bellhop in one scene looks exactly like him. Not strikingly similar, but like some doppelganger shit. It freaks him out so he checks the credits for dude's name, then gets on the internet and looks the guy up. Becomes consumed in figuring out WTF.
The whole movie is very Hitchcockian(with a dash of David Lynch). From some of the jarring shots to the dramatic score to the protagonist being in a constant state of mindf*ck; feels like something you might have pulled out of a time capsule.
